The document management functions serves as a central tool for document and information management, which, amongst others, offers the following capabilities:
Information management
- All types of digital data can be stored and displayed in the tree menu for easy access
- The folder structure can be adjusted and customised by authorised users
- Automatic data indexing and optimised search facility
- Intelligent search engine that finds the appropriate information for students, lecturers and administrative staff
- Access rights for students, lecturers and administrative staff can be set per folder or object
- Changes to access rights can be implemented recursively
- Access to certain folders can additionally be password protected

News & Current affairs
- Distribution of messages to students and academic staff
- Target audiences can be defined through the address book
- Display of news to specific audiences for whom the news is relevant
- Automatic deletion for outdated news items
- Current Financial Times news reports can be made available to students and academic staff
Security
- Dedicated access right management, which ensures that every users can only access the data they are authorised to access.
- Access logs, including date and time of all file access instances are kept
- Information is stored in an encrypted format on servers
- The transmission of sensitive data can be secured by a 128-bit encryption
- Encryption rates can be increased up to 2048 bits if required
